Barbados team celebrate their win over Trinidad and ultimately copping the Clive Lloyd Trophy
The nail biting signature NAGIOC Super50 tournament concluded on Saturday with Barbados emerging as the winner, after an impressive win over Trinidad and Tobago at the Queen's Park Oval.
Amidst a fully packed stadium of over 12000 spectators, the Bajans delivered on a well anticipated finals match, during which they turned the pressure on the Trinidad and Tobago team forcing them to chase the 252 target they set when they batted first.
Barbados all -rounder Dwayne Smith was named the Man-of-the-Match in the final after scoring a brisk 83 taking runs and taking two catches and a wicket to help dismiss T&T for 235.
Despite not making it to the finals, other teams that competed and put on a spectacular show were: Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, the CCC and Leeward Islands. During the prize giving ceremony, several players received awards for their outstanding performances:
